Lucas Gordon of NightLeaf has had his second iPhone game approved by Apple, which is now available for download from the App store.

Lucas says of the game:

“I’m really excited about it because it’s something I would really enjoy to play – I hope that other people enjoy it as much as I do!”

For those of you who won’t splash out on the game, you can also download the 80′s inspired backing music as a ringtone for free!

Create hosted another Enterprise in Heels event last Wednesday. This one took the form of ‘Speed Networking’, a bit like speed dating, but designed to allow groups of students to pick the brains of some of the region’s top female entrepreneurs.

Attendees included Liz Clarke, winner of the Northwest Business Woman of the Year award 2009 and founder of Manchester based social enterprise ‘Bikeright!’, Carolyn Uphill, business mentor and entrepreneur and Nikki Hesford, Lancaster Alumnus and owner of Miss Fit UK, a lingerie and clothing brand for larger chested ladies.

Both the students and the entrepeneurs thoroughly enjoyed the fast-paced event, so much so that we’re already organising the next event (so don’t worry if you missed this one!)

First Enterprise in Heels Event this term a Success

On Wednesday 17th February, Create hosted the first Enterprise in Heels event this term.

40 female students came together with succesful regional entrepreneurs for an afternoon of inspiration and fun last Wednesday.

The aim of the event was to teach female students the best way to network and to give them some practical tips to take away with them.

The afternoon was kicked off with a presentation by Catherine, who explained that although there may be many barriers to networking, especially for females, the benefits of making new relationships in this way are many. Rachel then taught the students some fun ways to raise self-confidence, and encouraged us to do something every day that scared us!

Maureen finished off the afternoon by making sure we understood there’s no such thing as “can’t”!

The Enterprise in Heels event management team held a promotional stall on Alex Square this Tuesday.

It was a big success, and spaces are rapidly running out for the event on Wednesday Week 6. If you’re still interested in attending, book your place now to avoid disappointment!

We’ll be holding another stall on Monday 22nd February and we’ll be giving away some yummy treats. Come down and see us!

Attendees Announced – Enterprise in Heels Speed Networking Event

This term, Create are running two Enterprise in Heels events. The second will be a speed networking event, which will give you the opportunity to put questions to successful female entrepreneurs (who have been there and done that) about starting a business.

It will also be great for future career planning, because there will be entrepreneurs from a huge variety of sectors who can advise on how to get a career in different industries.

An up to date attendees list has just been posted, including the winner of the Northwest Business of the Year 2009 award. Check it out!
