The Create Process

For those of you who wants to set up a business Create can take you from idea to start up in a one 10 week term. If you want to take longer then that is absolutely fine – we work to your timeline. This process is proven to work! To see students who have successfully set up a business see our case studies or attend one of our Snapshot Events and meet some of them in person.

Weeks 1 – 3
Those students who are interested attend the Create Intro Talks and Snapshot Events and sign up to Create.

Weeks 4 – 8
Workshops begin and so does the writing of your business plan. Don’t worry we like to keep these plans down to no more than 10 pages in length (that includes pictures and diagrams). Business plans are handed in in Week 8 and the Create Team will read them to decide who will go before the Create Panel to get start up funds.

Week 9
Those students whose business plans are of a high enough level attend a presentation course run by a professional Marketing and Sales person and worth over £5000 per head. This takes place over Mon – Fri of week 9.

Week 10
Monday – the day of the Create Panel. The students present to the Panel and have a quick Q and A session with the Panel Members. The Panel then makes its recommendations. Members of the Create Team meet with the students Tues – Fri to give them the Panel feedback and let them know if they have been successful in obtaining start up funds.
